Creative Cafe is Coming to Scrap Shop

It seems like a long time in getting here but it is here and will be released on the

14th DEC 2007..

This new concept was limited to 200 World Wide and I am happy to have secured one of these.

A new way to shop and a fantastic teaching tool

With new and exciting projects being created in "Happy Hour", I am sure that there will be something for everyone. Jars filled with treasures, just like in a lolly store, button,felt and tags.

Saturday the 15th there will be 3 classes held, if you are interested please give me call on 63266620.

Long Weekend

We had a long weekend here in Tassie, so that was nice. We did not do a great deal except work around the house. We are having some serious thoughts about moving, I just don't know if it is worth all the grief, but again I will keep you updated on this plan.

Well due in tomorrow hopefully are these Treasures, I do love Heidi Swapp stuff, I know at times that the self-adhesive is not that good, but really for the price....

I know that there are more products coming through to us but it is all taking its time, so for now we have to make do with what we can do.

Rusty Pickle

This stunning range has just arrived, I am a little disappointed that alot of the stickers and add-ons did not arrived but I have been advised that they are on the way, we can only hope.

But honestly the colours are lovely and I will admit that Rusty Pickle is one of my favourite ranges.

Next week I do have to add on a few more ranges that I do have, Pirate Princess and Princess Bride, again more great paper.

I have just uploaded this lovely Felt Fusion to the site. The colours are just stunning and the good part with these is that they are self adhesive. In stock I have large variety of colours and designs

I will be adding products like this from now on, I figure that I just need to get them out there.

New Cosmo Cricket

Well it has arrived and I just love it. I was lucky enough to get a real sneak peek a few weeks ago and that was only Dutch Girl, and I loved that range, but when I got to see Halfway Cafe, I just had to use this stuff.

I know that it may not be every ones idea on whats nice, but being a mother of a teenage boy it is just so cool.

This is what I have done with it, now I just need to use up alot of the scraps which I have no doubt that I will.

I am just loving all the new products that are out at the moment, some more than others but I am sure we all feel like that.

Now off to plan my next layout with some more treasures.

The drought has broken

Well maybe not so much with rain, but certainly me getting on to this BLOG. I know but to be truthful, I dont really have too much to say so it is a little sad....

Christmas was good, pleased that it is over,
Had a wonderful New Years, spent it with family and friends so that has to be good.

Now down to scrapping info. The end of year sale was a hugh success, alot of bargins were had that is for sure. Think that I will do that again in about June, sorry girls it is only instore....

Lots of new treasures are in the store at the moment. I am still uploading them, I will get to the new Basic Grey - Blush. Lots of Bling and Glitter which you have to love.
Just keep watching the shop for those.

I have not done too much scrapping in a while but I am now going to get myself onto a roll, going to get a scrapping journal going just so I can keep track of how I am going, so if you want to join me thats fine.

This LO is of Ashlee and her friend Tasha going to a wedding.

Scrap Shop Retreat

We are now taking names for our retreat in 2007. The dates for this fun time are the 27th/28th and 29th of April.

It is held at the lovely Hatchors Manor in the lovely Tasmanian town of Richmond.
The food is divine and the accommodation is very impressive.
We shall have a class on the Saturday after noon so if you wish you may just book in for the Saturday session.
The tutor for this will be announced soon.

PINK Crop

Well what a wonderful night we had last night. We had a Crop to raise money for Breast Cancer.
I dont think that I have laugh for a while. I did not get too much scrapping done but that is nothing unusual for me I only go to these for the social side. Not feeling too flash today....feel like I have been out on the drink but I did not have a drop, maybe that is the problem.

A lovely night was had by all and in the process we raised some money as well.

Not Long till Christmas

Well it is a little while away, but I went to the Christmas Cave in Melbourne, and it was just fantastic.
All the lights and the colours and just everything.
Jodii and Anne-Marie are the cause for all of my sudden Christmas Maddness, I know that it is a little early but I am thinking that the tree is going to have to go up soon. Ohh that it when I buy the new WHITE one, so I can have all the pretty PINK decorations on it. (I know I am sad).
But it will be pretty.
Well back to why I am even doing this post, well these photos are taken just inside the door of the Christmas Cave and the bears are animated......and so cute.

Christmas papers should be arriving today so they will be put up on the site as quickly as they come in.

Well after having a quiet day in the store, I finally got around to doing this clip board for a class.
the class will be held on Thursday 19th Oct at 1pm.

Kyms Cut Out Class is now available for a sneak-peek, Girls this is truly a lovely LO, and with this class we are giving you the option of 2 different days firstly Wednesday 18th Oct at 7pm..... or Saturday 11th Nov at 2pm..

As I just lost the whole lot of this message

The post was about how hard it is on keeping up with this but seeing that I am only human (I am sure that some will argue that) I will just have to get into some sort of system thingy happening.

OK Well so far this has been a great week,
Firstly my husband Nev, had his first go-kart race on the weekend and he won his class. It was the Masters and you had to be over 30 to race, It was so funny to watch the roles reversed as Kyle was pit crew for him, and the expressions and hand movements were so his dad, it made us all laugh. eg. "What is he thinking doing a silly move like that" - I feel a Layout on about this one.

On Thursday I am having a visit with the very talented Julie Love, Julie and her friend are here for a retreat, no not mine and I get to have some time to do some sight seeing. I feel a visit to Polly's happening and the Lollies shop. Also the Gorge is nice at the moment. Not sure how I will go with the chair lift. but we will see.

And finally STOCK STOCK and more STOCK. well not that much really but what did come in was the lovely
Cowgirl and Cowboy papers in the CRATE range, they are so lovely, and as soon as I saw this paper it just screamed out Ashlee. The journalling just tells a little about the difference in the 2 girls.

Also being uploaded is the rest of the papers in the CHEEKY range, More PLAIN JANE and the very nice BOHO CHIC
So have a day and I will get back to this to let you know what is also on its way.

Now that is the question I am asking myself at the moment. Do I use this for information just on Scrap Shop or Do I use if for sharing what is happening in my life as well.

Would anyone be interested in reading what I am up to or are they just interested in the info for the shop.?????

So the answer is a little of both, seeing that I am Scrap Shop, I think that I am allowed.

On the shop front, I have got coming the Delish Range it is on its way here, I will share images when it gets here.
Also I had to have the Making Memories Cheeky Range, it is so cute.

Do you have any idea on how many ranges there are out there, I know that they are all nice, but honestly I would need a store the size of Kmart to have them all in there.
So I just pick through the ranges, not alway getting it right, but Ohh well......

Well.... while I was playing around with this new treasure of mine the postie came in with the full range of 3 Bugs in a Rug Rhapsody Range of Papers, Monograms, Tags and Die Cut Stickers.

Love the colours of these and now I am thinking what can I do with these one....

Hello and Welcome

Well this is a first for me, having a BLOG...

I am really not very good and putting my words together, so
it may look ugly at times and for that I am apologising already.

for those who do not know me, I am the owner of Scrap Shop, a
retail and internet store, here in lovely Tasmania.

I have been open a year now and boy has that gone fast, and
I could not have made it without my fantastic friends, with
out them I honestly would not have managed to get any of this
done.

Thank You my Lovvies.

OK .... well I do hope to keep up with this as it would be really
pointless in having this if I did not.
I want to use this space just to let people know what is happening
in store and just what is going on around here.

I hope to pop some pictures up when I figure that part out, so I can
share how talented my special friends are.......

Well It is coffee time and I really need that every morning.
